Bill Voisine

I began coding at 10 years old on my Commodore 64. I enjoy using creativity to code ideas and the excitement of watching my programs run!

I'm a part-time and remote Research PhD Student in Computer Science at the University of Essex, living near Washington, DC, in the United States. My research area is Financial Forecasting using artificial neural networks (Deep Learning) and reinforcement learning. For fun, I've been learning about Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) to create new visual art and music.

My past experience has brought me to creating various models for the US Department of Homeland Security. I've also created a start-up business where I developed a couple of mobile app games and web applications.

I received my Master of Science (MSc) in Systems Engineering from The George Washington University in Washington DC; and my Bachelor of Science (BSc) from Husson University in Bangor, Maine. I'm also a member of the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society.
